Sing For Your Supper
While striving for perfection himself, James also looked for perfection in others. Often, James would flick me two cents every time I pronounced the words ‘how now brown cow’ correctly. He would shout “talk from down in your chest, boy, not up in your nose like a squeaky wheel”.
For someone who had little time for kids, I was delighted when James made me toys to play with instead of his beloved fishing for Whiting. He would make me things like spinning tops from cotton reels and a wooden gun that shot rubber bands.

Artwork: Limited edition signed prints of the original 3D mixed media artworks (1 of 5 different works). The brown page with the black pencil drawings (representing lines of sight) are copies taken from the pages of my grandfather's original secret fishing grounds book. The fish drawings and additional artworks around the page are representations of my memories and observations through time.
